I write this entry with emotion because of the unscrupulous person sent me a messaged yesterday afternoon (Philippine Standard Time) on my you tube account that she claimed that this video is her property. So was it weird to claim something not yours? It is weird in a sense, that I don't know her personally.
There could be a lot of times I exchanged message to her just to correct her perceptions about it. For the longest time , I have not been treated like that on the web... that something very stupid on her part.
The funny thing when she messaged me on my you tube account, I was on my way to Kondrad Adrenauer Asian Center,before leaving GT Tower. That person sent these messages to me:
hope u don't claim that "tue or thurs" practice video as yours because it's MINE. i respect the fact that you like BP, but it's bad to grab someone else's video and claim that it's yours because that was the day that i got in BP...that was from my fone. some BP members noticed already what you did, and i don't think that's a very nice way of showing appreciation to the group members.
please tell your friend then, that it is WRONG to do that. i don't care whether it's been uploaded months ago, because youtube is a public domain where it can be accessed by all who like BP anytime, anywhere. ERASE it from your page then. don't wait for the other members to comment on this, because they all know that i am the source. i don't want to make this a very big issue, but it is insulting and unfair to me. i uploaded my BP experience to share it. it's quite offending that it's been "stolen", eh i shared it na nga with everyone.
i work and study in ateneo too, and it's quite a shame that she doesn't know how wrong that act was when it's been taught to her to know the rules on publishing and plagiarism.

actually, wala naman issue kung pinasa-pasa. the issue is the DESCRIPTION of the video that she made in your account. maybe you need to look at it again.

*the write-up claims that someone MADE the video for bukas palad for a dry run? eh mali pa nga yung story behind it. so how can it be an effective promo tool if someone else made a story of an event that happened closed doors with us? when it was not what really happened? to claim a video that "was made" when it wasn't exactly hers? yun ang understanding ng makakabasa na kahit sino. it was another bp member who alerted us about this "claim", and i being the owner of it, really needed to tell you what i think.
it is an issue for me because that was my personal memory of my first day in BP and i'm not sure if you understand how big a deal that was. all the more that someone else grabbed it and placed a story in it and set it up for the whole world to see. it may not be worth anything to you, but there is a line between respecting how other things matter to people and NOT changing these details for them. we can upload our fave videos, fine. but let us not make a story about it if we don't know what it really is about.
lastly, it is an issue because the group really is promoting for the launch, and that i'm sure all advertising measures are given for that event. hence, interested people will probably search and find this "insignificant" video. and of course, they will think it is yours because it's there on your page. hindi nila malalaman na akin iyun, fine. pero para iba ang mabasa nila na "nangyari" doon, i'm not at all comfortable.
i just feel the need to make this right, because it was the most important day in my history with the group. thank you.

You see, to me, it's simple:
How come that my friend got that video ? Why that video was still there in her cellphone? You said that you're sure that you didn't forward it to anyone, so it could be at that moment there was another phone captured that event also.
The original running time of the video was 57 seconds, since my laptop got an video editing tools, she'd edit it and turned out into 13 - 14 seconds. This would never be an ending argument. But I won't do any drastic measures that can create hostility w/you.

You don't need to be part of Ignatian Christian Community whether you're from Jescom,JMM, or any organizations affiliated w/the Loyola Schools to practice honesty.And it is also not nice to accused someone of stealing of a video shot which the mere fact it was only a forwarded mms.
Maan, I'm not a neophyte in the internet world and I do understand "plagiarism". I know that you felt that someone plagiarized your video. Or at least , someone posted it to youtube w/out attributing the video to you. But like I said in my previous message to you. Plagiarism is out here, because that video was not steal. If the first messaged you sent to me was " maayos" lang or probably you could ask where did I get the video? Am pretty sure that I already revealed the identity of that person (that also active member of a choir under by JMM/ADMU), kaso you made a banat hindi kagandahan that's why I won't say anything about her.
Of course you're free to do whatever you like , the important things is that you have no right to demand that I agree with your pleasures about that video.
One thing am not sure if you're the real owner of the video were discussing here?
But don't worry I will edit the description of that video that's all I could do but not to removed,because if I delete it means that you're right and I'm wrong.

I like you tube, not just because it is affiliated with Google company, I enjoyed it a lot because anyone with a video camera ( and that includes many cell phones) can take videos and post them online for anyone to view. Videos of the family, friends and interesting happenings. I didn't expect to get a malicious / direct messaged to someone belonged to a high-profile group of JMM Talents. I'm so embarrassed for the way she behaved and so sorry for her because Fr. Ben, Fr. Nemy and some people from our school know what she has done to me. And even them couldn't believe it. She has all the "guts " to messaged and blackmailed me during office hours, of course they would take actions on this am pretty sure about that.
In our country so easy to trades gossip like gold bars, the bad thing she has done, revealed at the wrong time that may cause serious damage on her part ( professionally) better believe me on that. With the advent of the Internet it become easier to cause digital scandal and she has done that to me.
I will never do anything to dishonor myself; in internet & in real world. Everything is temporarily save for the name. Reputation proceeds and precede people. So when this petty issue ( that can also turned big if I'm not going to informed people from our school) surface in lieu of my being friends with some people from our school and w/ the alumni of Days with the Lord (DWTL) , I keep mum about it especially when there's no lesson to be learned by others.
I don't see the sense in making mountains out of the hills - which is what usually happens when people involved on something stupid like this. I can't please everybody, let alone go around convincing them of the kind person you are. It's just a waste of energy. Yes, I've learned to choose my battles.
